Instructions: Fold the piece of paper in half. Along the fold line, lightly draw a square, and then add a half circle to the side of the box opposite the fold line. Cut out two of these shapes. Cut straight lines starting from the fold side. The cut should be at least the length of the square. Start weaving the strips together. Using the diagram, strip 3 goes in between the two pieces of strip C. Then strip B goes in between strip 3. Strip 3 goes in between the two pieces of strip A. Continue the weaving for strips 2 and 1. Once the weaving is finished correctly, you will be able to open the center of the heart, making a small basket. Add a paper strip or ribbon handle to the basket if you want. Hints: If the cuts for the strips aren't long enough, you can't complete the weaving. Use two colors of paper to make the weaving easier in the beginning. Once you know how to make the hearts, try more intricate designs with 4 or 5 strips. Place your picture, a little note, and some conversation candy inside the heart basket and give it to someone special!
