Make a clever Thanksgiving cornucopia craft out of an empty ice cream cone. Write the guests names on the cones, fill them with goodies, and use them as clever, edible placeholders

The kids made a clever craft out of an empty sugar cone.

McAveler called it a "cone-ucopia" and wanted to eat it before he was even finished making it!

Here is how they made these unique and fun cone-ucopias. Filled with sweet treats these cornucopias make a great placeholder for your Thanksgiving table.

The kids needed:

Sugar Ice Cream ConesThanksgiving cornucopia

"Runts" candies, gum drops or dried fruits and nuts

1. Write names on the cones, using the decorator frosting.

2. Then place the cones onto a paper napkin or colored paper.

3. Fill with candy, dried fruit or nuts.

4. For best decorative effect, let the cornucopia filling spill out a little.

Here's an assignment from Chico Chihuahua

See if you can think of more ways to decorate the cone-ucopia using things like the decorator icing or a ribbon. Then show it to your teacher and parents.
