Spanish moss valentines are eye catching! A unique gift for someone special!

valentines are eye catching! A unique valentine gift for someone special!

Here's what you need

Medium sized styrofoam heart form from the craft store

One bag of moss from the floral shop or craft store

About four yards each of 1/8" to 1/4" wide color coordinated ribbon (for example, pink, rose, mauve, cream, white, purple, lavender)Spanish moss valentine

Paper cup

Glue

Water

Small paintbrush

Baby's breath or other small silk flowers

Instructions

Pour about 1/4 cup of glue into the paper cup and add a tablespoon of water.

Stir until blended.

Paint the glue mixture onto the heart form and immediately begin wrapping and sticking the moss onto the form.

Fill in all the empty spaces with moss, adding more glue if necessary.

Let dry.

Wind ribbons around the heart, leaving enough ribbon to tie a bow with streamers.

Tuck in the baby's breath or small silk flowers.

Pin a valentine card to a ribbon and give a special gift to a special somebody!

An Idea From Chico Chihuahua

Hey kids, here's an idea. Instead of a valentine form, get a styrofoam wreath form, ribbons in Christmas colors, holly leaves, a small Christmas card, and little jingle bells.

Make a instead of a valentine!
