Make some milk carton guitar Just pinch the string to change pitches!

Milk carton guitarHere's what you need

Clean, empty half gallon carton with the top taped shut

Yardstick

45"-50" of nylon fishing line

Instructions

Cut a slit 1/2" deep near each end of the yardstick.

Cut vertical slits in two sides of the carton 2/3 of the way up from the bottom.

Slide the yardstick through the carton, about half way through.

Make a slip knot in one end of the fishing line and slip it over the end of the yardstick and tighten it into the slit.

Pull the line over the carton and attach it tightly the same way to the other end of the yardstick.

The line should be taut and tied securely on both ends so that it cannot come off without untying the knots.

Pull the carton close to one end of the yardstick.

the line near the "bridge" (the top edge of the carton).

Pinch the line to the yardstick with your other hand to change pitch.

Think about how you could use the numbers on the yardstick to locate the notes you need to play a little tune!
