Kid Craft Ideas with a patriotic theme, like a Lincoln penny pendant, are great fun and very educational kid crafts!

John Hancock kid craft ideasMimi, kid craft ideas can help us remember our adventure in Philadelphia at Independence Hall!

Click here for a template to make our Lincoln penny necklace/pendant. It's in PDF format so you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader. It's a free download from adobe.com.

Here's the supplies we'll need:

* Construction paper (red, white and blue)

* White glue or a glue stick

* Scissors

* A hole punch

* String or yarn (red, white or blue)

* A penny

Cut out 3 stars, one red, one white, and one blue for each pendant that you wish to make.

Suggestion: White looks best in the middle.

Glue the white star onto the biggest star.

Glue the smallest star on the white star.

Glue on a penny (face up) in the middle of the stars.

Punch a hole near the top of the stars.

Thread a few feet of yarn through the necklace/pendant and wear it to celebrate 4th of July crafts and for Lincoln's birthday crafts on February 12.
