Here's what you need to make the garland

Several ginger bread men cookies with holes in their hands that you make yourself

1/4" wide red ribbon

Scissors

Drinking straw

Instruction

Get the ginger bread men cookies recipe here

Make several ginger bread men cookies in the size you want

Use a straw to make holes in their hands before baking

After the cookies have been baked and cooled, decorate them with icing any way you choose

Connect the cookies by threading a short length of ribbon through the holes in their hands

Tie a knot and trim off the ends of the ribbon

Keep adding more cookies until you have a beautiful garland that you can hang on the tree or in front of the fireplace!
