Christmas crafts with canning jars and candles. Make beautiful and simple candle holders for the Christmas season.

Christmas crafts using canning jars and candles are easy to make and very beautiful, said Hanna with a broken leg to her new friend, Mimi.

Some people call them "luminaries".

Let's get started!

Here is what you'll need to make beautiful Christmas season candle holders

Christmas crafts candle holders

An adult to light the candles

Several canning jars of different sizes

Non-flammable items such as buttons, candy, marbles, and aquarium rocks

Votive cups for candles

Short candles

Easy Instructions

Fill a jar about three quarters full of buttons, candy, marbles, or aquarium rocks

Or try mixing two, three, or all of the items together

Place a candle in a votive cup and nestle it in the middle of the jar

Ask an adult to light the candle.

Turn out the lights and watch the beautiful glowing effect you have created in the room!

NEVER, EVER leave the candles burning when you are not watching them very closely. Blow them out BEFORE you leave the room!!!

A message from Chico Chihuahua

Kids, never play with matches! Always get an adult to help you light the candles.

Oh, and these Christmas canning jar crafts are ideal because Snowball, that big white cat that lives next door, is very smart and he is afraid of candles. That means he won't even try to get the candy or marbles out of the jars!

You should be afraid of burning candles too. Always blow them out before you leave the room!

And always ask an adult to light the candles for you. NEVER, EVER try to do it by yourself! Very dangerous.
