Australian Beaches have something for kids of all ages. Here's what Mimi and McAveler saw and learned at the beach.

Australian beaches boyHey Mimi, let’s go visit some Australian beaches! We’ve seen big cities like Sydney and Perth before.

Besides, we’re not within cooee of Perth.

Not within what, puzzles Mimi? How do you come up with these words?

You know, we’re a long way away from Perth, and I just listen carefully to what people say and try to figure out what it really means, even if I’m not familiar with the words they use.

Can we just go to the beach now, McAveler, asks an exasperated Mimi?

No worries, mate, replies McAveler. The folks here are flat out like a lizard drinking anyway.

OK, mate, I think you have a kangaroo loose in the top paddock, chuckles Mimi!

Two can make a quid at your little game!

Reckon, says McAveler! Hold onto my hand and let’s jump to the Australian beaches!

Australian beaches kidsThere are some beach kids, Mimi. Let’s ask them about their beaches.

G’Day! I’m McAveler and this is Mimi. We’re aren’t from around here.

We were wondering what you like to do and see on your Australian beaches?

G’Day! I’m Jack and this is Mackenzie. We are from a woop woop not too far from here.

Australian beaches box jellyfishWelcome to Australia! We hope you are enjoying your stay.

Yes, very much! A woop woop, questioned Mimi?

Oh, sorry. A small town of no real importance, says Jack.

There is a lot to do on our beaches. You can have lots of fun but you have to be careful.

See all those blue animals laying on the sand? Those are or box jellyfish blown in by the wind and tide.

Thanks for the warning, says McAveler. Spitting the dummy doesn’t sound so good!

Some people come to the beach to sunbake.

Others come to surf or play volleyball or to get married.

Or just to have big mobs of fun running in and out of the water.

Do you have , asked Mimi, timidly?

Australian beaches sharkOh my yes. They are the dinky-di, they are!

They can be as cross as a frog in a sock.

Some beaches have shark nets to keep them out of the swimming areas.

They don’t bother us much in here but sometimes they try to have a lend of the surfers.

A message from Chico Chihuahua

Kids, sharks normally don't attack humans.

But then again, neither do grizzly bears in Yellowstone.

Smart Chihuahuas don't spend much time swimming in the ocean anyway because we are, well, bite size.Australian beaches lifeguards

But when we do, we always make sure that there are lifeguards on duty protecting the swimmers!

Make sure that it is safe before you ever go into the water!

Don't ever swim without a buddy.

If you have not yet taken , ask your parent or care giver to sign you up now!

I am an expert when it comes to dog paddling.

Swimming is so much more fun when you know how!
